Comfortable and reliable travel - near and far!

This section provides information that will help you better prepare for your trip.

Welcome on board!

When you are standing at a bus stop and wish to board a bus, raise your hand when the bus is approaching and make sure that you have your ticket or appropriate money ready. When it is dark, a flashlight or a swinging reflector helps the driver to notice you at the bus stop. When you wish to leave the bus, press the stop signal in good time. This facilitates the driver’s work and speeds up the trip of others.

Regular services and express services

On a regular service, you can get on and off the bus at all the stops along the route. Express buses only stop in the locations stated in the timetable and whenever necessary at specific express bus stops. If part of the service is operated as a regular service, on that portion the bus stops in the normal manner at all bus stops. Special express buses only stop in the locations indicated in the timetable.

About radio and telephones

Most of our buses have a radio, and it can be used if it does not disturb the passengers. The volume is adjusted to a level where the passengers can listen to the radio, still allowing passengers to have a conversation with each other. If just one passenger requires that the radio be turned off, it is turned off. The passengers can use their own radios and personal stereos if their use does not cause disturbance to the other passengers. The passengers can use their mobile telephones if the use of telephone does not disturb the other passengers. Our bus driver uses a mobile phone only for essential work-related matters.

About disturbance situations

You can have a packed lunch on the bus if you do it especially neatly and unless specifically prohibited. The use of alcohol and smoking on the bus are always prohibited. Passengers who tend to feel nauseous on a bus are recommended to find a seat in the front of the bus. Cleaning expenses caused by motion sickness must be paid by the person causing the need for cleaning. All passengers have the right to an undisturbed bus trip, and the driver must be ensured peace of work.

If a passenger continues to create disturbance despite the driver’s warning, the driver can remove the disruptive passenger from the bus in the first available place where this can be done without endangering the person’s health and safety. If necessary, the bus staff can resort to the police for help. The passenger is liable for any vandalism caused to the bus.

Seat belts

Finnish legislation requires that the SEAT BELT must be used on the bus while it is in motion on seats provided with a seat belt.
